Club History

The club was "put together" in late September 2004, by Daz and Steph. Tired of being let down through lack of organisation they decided to go it alone. Bingley hall 2005 saw staffsminis first ever club stand, and at the time we had 5 members! Our stand was done to a “Police camera” theme. March 2005 saw the birth of our now famous “Run Before The Sun” with 12 cars going on the adventure to wales for a weekend of fun!

The club grew massively in 2005 through networking at events, taking part in themes and having one of the best websites around! By September 2005 the club had grown to having 80 regular members turning up to the very popular monthly social at the Barley Mow. It was decided that we should do a second event for our members “Run After The Sun” aka RATS.

RATS was a massive success with over 40 cars taking part on this great weekend of fun, the now well known spirited drive and not to forget the minis on the GO-Kart track!

2006 Started with a bang with Staffsminis winning best club stand at British Mini clubs mini fair at Bingley hall with there inspired theme of a “time line” taking you back to the 1960’s. The stand was featured in miniworld!

John Baileys “marlon” became Marty McFlys delorean from the hit move Back To The Future.

April 1^st saw Staffsminis V Minifinity Rolling Road competition at minisport where there were 5 classes Staffsminis went on to win 4/5 classes (front page miniworld feature). Staffsminis continued through 2006 running several of there own runs and events which included a run to france with “French Connection”, RB4S and RATS all of which were featured in the miniworld magazine through 2006.
